In Estonia I just sit at home, log in to our version of IRS, click “next” a few times and add things they haven’t added automatically (they almost never miss things) and click “done”. I verify it all with my digital signature that has equivalent juridical power to handwritten signature in the face of law. Usually it takes about 2-3 minutes in total each year.
Pretty much all communication with government goes similarly to that. I don’t even know if there are any reasons to physically go someplace to do anything here. I’ve managed to do everything through Internet and using the digital signature system.
Got to love living in a non-stone age country.

I may have to give this a try next year.
