Hey folks,
Just a little update here. As some of you long time readers have undoubtedly noticed, the update schedule has been a little erratic. I’ve been trying to give you guys something new to read every week but when in the week it lands is always up in the air for me. Here’s the jist of what’s going on. For all of 2015, I’ve been working a new Animation gig on a show called Ever After High. It’s a 2D digital animation show and 2D digital animation is something I’ve been wanting to learn for a long time. I’ve been working in 3D animation for the last 8 years or so. So when the opportunity to work on this new show came about I jumped on it. It’s been a trial by fire as it’s taken me a good long time to learn the ins and outs of the software we use (ToonBoom) and get up to the speed and quality of the show. Unfortunately, the comic has taken a hit because of it. Who knew working 12 hour days, struggling to get a program to work for you and stay on quota would affect your comedy writing? So yeah, for a good chunk of 2015 my focus has been elsewhere and I’ve been a bit burnt out. Here’s the good news. I’m finally coming out of this whole “slump” you can call it. I’ve been writing more comics and more varied stuff. I’m starting to get back into creating things more often. I’m already working toward uping the schedule of comics to at least 2 a week. Though I give no promises yet. So thank you all for the patience this year as I’ve tried to balance an assortment of things.

Nah, it’s cool. Life happens and you have to live through it. I look forward to seeing how your twisted genius comes through on the show, though 🙂
It’s all good! When I studied 2D animation it was the old fashioned kind (hand drawn, one frame per sheet, take a picture, next, etc.) and it was a lot of work (and hand cramping), but it was a tremendous amount of fun.
Looking forward to checking out the show and reading more comics! 🙂

It’s cool that you’re learning new skills to better your career! I’m sure no one would disagree that real life comes first! 🙂 Your loyal fans will still be here when you’re back into the swing of things!
Remember, it’s 12:01 Tuesday. Which means you don’t have to go through Tuesday at work waiting to play if you’re willing to accept a little less sleep Monday night. I’m already considering napping.
Don’t worry about us. We want you to be able to focus on the important stuff now so that you can get back to us in the future. We will be patient 🙂

Trust me, I know how you get…. Some of my friends put out a missing persons report on me…. so I found a friend I haven’t talked to for longer than my slump and put one out on her. But don’t worry. We can wait…
I’d personally rather wait until you are fully out of your slump before you start upping your strip dose.
No comic in almost a month? What’s going on?
