This weekend Lynn and I attended Lynn’s grandparent’s 70th wedding anniversary. Today it’s crazy to think that two people can be together for that long. I never really bought into the 90’s “married with children” idea that having a wife was a prison sentence. Granted I’m not married yet. I could turn out to be a complete prick after marriage…
All the best relationships start in the I am ARG! Facebook group.
my grandparents in March, celebrated their 57th anniversary.
congrats to them!
I’ve been meaning to ask this for a while but why have you been drawing Lynn’s mouth so obtusely cartoonish? Feel free to answer that with a famous Arg joke. As in I shake my fist at the sky and yell “ARRRRRRG!!!!!” while the camera pans out from my face to a shot of the earth due to your response.
Because reasons.
GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
“Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage…”
This I tell you Brother! you can’t have one without the… OTHER!
I HAVEN’T LOOKED AT ARG COMICS IN A WHILE WHAT HAPPENED WITH HIS EYES THEY’RE SO CLEAR NOW XD
cuz, stuff.
one of the last memories i have of my whole family together, and one of the last three i have of both my grandparents/my grandfather alive was their 50th anniversary. he died less than a year later, but it is amazing that 2 people can be together that long. thank you for reminding me of it, seriously. that was a very nice day
you’re welcome!
Either A: they have to be able to overcome differences and compromise or B: both parties must be obscenely capable of ignoring the other. I’m having to adapt to B because apparently compromise is not exactly wifey’s strong suit.
(Disclaimer: I’m not having a good evening and it’s best I don’t talk to her about it. So I smile and say “nothing’s wrong.” :p Anything more would end up hurting us both more than just keeping quiet. )
pick your battles…
haha Accepting a challenge to make her happy with a successful relationship? That’s awesome!!!
I’m gonna make Her SOOOOOOO frickin’ happy…
You’d better. I’m counting on you as your fan
The secret to a good, long marriage starts in the bedroom, you watch TV in there while Lynn watches in the living room! You can’t fail!
oh no… Lynn and I like the same stuff.
Here’s to hoping you make it to 35, then 70 and even more.
I challenge you to 50% happiness!
Good luck on your challenge 😉
My grandparents got married during WW2, and they stayed together up until my grandma died a couple of years ago. My grandpa even visited her every single day when she had to move to a home because of a brain tumor. He just went home to sleep, and came back the next day. They truly loved each until death took them apart.
So you two will be married only 35 years?
