In Canada it becomes very hard to avoid this.
A new miracle cure for awkwardness was discovered on the I am ARG facebook Group page. Totally not a scam for you to check it out.
In america, stabbing is usually the polite way to say hello,on that note, fir-ah forget it, im over it, however, the fact that none of u are first must burn, burn like that rash u had last week and never got checked out…TANGETS!!!!!
Awww, but I like saying hello to random people. ):
When they do that.. It usually means they farted a few yards back and want to distract you before you walk into a deadly fart cloud. I should know.. I do that all the time in elevators. 🙂
Who doesn’t fart in an elevator.. the more in there the better 🙂
This is the precise reason I avoid going for walks when any of my nieghbors are likely to be home and therefore possibly outside where they might feel the need to greet me.
‘Course, I avoid going for walks in general because I’m a lazy.
That’s why I have earphones for. But I do give a smile and a nod, though.
It annoys me when someone draws my attention and I haven’t given them permission to do so. My viewspace, my attention, and my thought process are *mine*, and I vehemently disagree with the notion that people are entitled to disrupting me…
My work on wearables is designed to fix that, but until then, I just tell people to go fuck themselves.
And before you ask, no, I’m not from New York, I just think they have really awesome outlooks and pizza.
he looks like something from shadow of the colossus in the last two panels
At least where I live if you meet someone one the sidewalk, they’re too busy exercising to be polite and greet a passerby.
I just tell them their fly is open and walk faster.
Oh man, I’ve been there! I’m surprised there are still people out there who think being polite is still acceptable in this day and age!
It’s to break the tension that one of you might mug the other.
As if saying ‘Hi’ dispels that possibility.
What good is a walk in the dark if other people are around? I prefer to be emo in peace.
I can’t believe they’re folks out there that still believe that politeness is acceptable in this day and age!
Carl damn, I thought that dude was a tree.
What kind of Canadian are you? He said Hello because he was doing what your people do. Being all friendly and what not, ay.
Smile and nod works for me. Having headphones on while out help too.
Damn polite strangers!!! Makes it tougher to kill them…
Same problem in New Zealand, we have the same friendly reputation as Canada with the added bonus of being ridiculously small, you start recognising the strangers
