Actually, not to rain on the parade, there was one episode where they went to Day Shift. Turns out it was a much nicer place; the cafeteria was friendlier and better stocked, Roz is perky, and the whole thing was just the opposite of Night Court. Weird, but fun.
It speaks of my former desire to be a lawyer that I actually understood each of those words.
Their existence, however, is responsible for me no longer having any such desire.
For the record, unless the law terminology is significantly different in Canada, that it really is a bunch of legal terms thrown together to simulate the sheer pain of reading legal text. Unless I’m reading it wrong, and he’s not asking to extend the shortening of time on the proceedings prior to his own, which would defeat the point of doing so.
